Your Private WhatsApp messages are EXPOSED!

Just as I mentioned before in “Facebook - your wonderful, dirty friend”, Facebook owns WhatsApp, and therefore Facebook moderators can read, moderate or report every message you send. Yeah, but my WhatsApp messages are end to end encrypted, you could think. So how, would you ask, could they possibly do it?

Hard, Dirty Truth

The truth is, Facebook goofs are thinking they are it and mistaking their identities. You see, the problem is with the massive ego of organisations like Facebook. Yes, Zuckerberg and Co.
They have built social media platforms and trying to control what’s right or what’s wrong. They will restrict your account if you dare to post anything they disagree with and let all people that say what they accept go wild. It was not enough for sir Zuckerberg, so he has gone ahead and purchased a rake of businesses and apps, including Instagram and WhatsApp, which gave him the power to moderate even more aspects of your life. They shouldn’t be doing that. They should convey the message, not control it. Now, back to WhatsApp and your “private and encrypted” messages.

They Can Read Every Single Message

WhatsApp has fallen under the rule of Facebook moderators since the WhatsApp acquisition, and they can alert and share your data and metadata with enforcement agencies at any time. In addition, they can read, moderate or report any message, picture or video sent by anyone. So yes, you better start worrying about that naked pictures sent to your wife’s friend.
There are around one thousand people worldwide contracted to read and moderate WhatsApp messages.
Their workers, based in big cities around the world like Singapore, Austin, Dublin or Texas, examine and, in some cases, moderate millions of WhatsApp messages. In addition, Facebook moderators can share every message sent through the app with enforcement agencies and relevant metadata. That means that practically every message, picture, video or voice message can be analysed and processed by Facebook moderators.
Now, Facebook moderators can actively invigilate the masses under the security cover yet again. But, I mean, who controls them? Who can do the actual check if said compromised message was reported by anyone? What if some politically driven individuals…
