Google is a beast; it is everywhere, and in general, makes our lives easier every day. We could not imagine trying not to get lost with Google Maps, replacing your bulb in your car without YouTube, relaxing without YouTube Music or finding out if our favourite shop is still open with an excellent Google Search. There is a strong feeling that out of all the big players on the market today, Facebook, Amazon or Google, Google is the least harmful to its users. From where I stand, Google is most beneficial to its users but as harmful and tricky as Facebook and all Zuckershit garbage. Google might be a little less transparent in their wrongdoing than Facebook because they work differently, and we are using them for different purposes.
While Facebook can happily restrict your account because you speak your mind, Google does not give you many options to screw yourself up. What they do, though, is mishandling and misuse your data for their gain. They will sell any data they collect about you, and if you are using an Android device, nobody knows more about you than Google, including yourself.
Google has the perfect answer for their data collection. They collect data to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience online. But, unfortunately, they fail to disclose what data exactly clearly and how much of it they…
